At LMF Energy Services, we are passionate about more than just delivering energy solutions, we are committed to helping build a more sustainable future. That starts with education.
We recently had the pleasure of visiting Woodchurch Primary School on the Wirral, where we delivered a series of engaging multiple interactive sessions on solar energy to Years 1 through to 6, teaching pupils between the ages of 5-11. The sessions were delivered in collaboration with SolarEdge, a leading manufacturer of solar panels, inverters and battery storage technology.
The aim of the sessions was simple: to introduce young students to the world of renewable energy in a way that was easy to understand, interactive, and enjoyable.
What solar energy is and how it works
How solar panels generate electricity
The role of inverters and battery storage
Why renewable energy is important for the environment
By breaking down complex ideas into simple concepts, we were able to make the topic accessible across all age groups. The pupils were highly engaged throughout, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine curiosity about how energy is produced and used.
One of the standout aspects of the morning was the enthusiasm from the pupils. From the youngest group to the oldest, the level of engagement was fantastic.
As the UK continues its transition towards cleaner energy, it’s vital that younger generations understand both the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Raise awareness of renewable technologies
Encourage interest in STEM subjects
Inspire future careers in the energy sector
Promote sustainable thinking from an early age
At LMF, we see this as an important part of our wider ESG commitments. Supporting communities and investing in education goes hand in hand with delivering energy-efficient solutions across the UK.
We’re proud to have delivered these sessions alongside SolarEdge. Partnerships like this allow us to combine expertise and provide a more rounded and informative experience for students.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding morning for everyone involved. We’d like to thank the staff and pupils at Woodchurch Primary School for their warm welcome and enthusiasm throughout the sessions.
