As part of our ongoing 10 for 10 charity initiative, LMF Energy Services is proud to donate £1,000 to Wirral Hospice St John's.
The initiative sees us supporting at least ten charities and community organisations that are making a real difference to people’s lives, and Wirral Hospice is an organisation whose impact is felt deeply throughout the local community.
Members of our team were invited to visit the hospice for a guided tour and a discussion with the fundraising team. The visit gave us the opportunity to learn more about the breadth of services the hospice provides, the challenges they face, and the importance of continued community support.
Wirral Hospice St John’s provides specialist care and support for people living with life-limiting conditions, while also offering emotional, practical and wellbeing support to families and carers. Their services include inpatient care, wellbeing support, outpatient services and Hospice at Home care.
The hospice provide their care free of charge to patients and families, but much of its funding comes from donations, fundraising and support from local businesses and communities.
Speaking with the fundraising team also highlighted just how important partnerships and community engagement are in helping the hospice continue delivering these essential services. It was inspiring to hear about the many ways local people and organisations come together to support the hospice through events, donations and fundraising initiatives.
At LMF Energy Services, we believe businesses have an important role to play in supporting the communities around them, and we are incredibly proud to contribute to the outstanding work being carried out by Wirral Hospice St John’s.
