AWARD WINNING HEATING AND SOLAR INSTALLATION SPECIALISTS

AWARD WINNING SOLAR AND HEATING INSTALLATION SPECIALISTS

Experienced Sales Advisor - £27K - £30K + Bonus (OTE £40K)

To be considered for this role you must have experience in a customer-facing, targeted sales role.

You will be a confident, empathetic communicator who can explain technical proposals in plain language to people with no technical background, and who puts the resident’s interests first while working towards a target.

You will be organised and persistent in following up, calm and honest when handling objections and difficult conversations, thorough and accurate when recording information and completing compliance paperwork, and comfortable using CRM systems.

Desirable

Experience in the energy, renewables or home improvement sectors, or of working with grant-funded schemes, is helpful, as is experience of using HubSpot.

Purpose of the role

The Sales Advisor supports residents from their survey through to the design of their installation, and is responsible for guiding them to a confident, informed sign-off of that design before we proceed to install. The role is also responsible for making sure the compliance documents for each sale are completed, looks after residents in the period before installation, and keeps our records accurate and up to date.

This is the point in the journey where a resident decides whether to go ahead, so the quality of the support they receive matters. The aim is for every resident to understand what is being proposed, to have their questions answered honestly, and to sign off a design they are comfortable with.

Key responsibilities

Supporting residents from survey to design You will be a consistent, reliable point of contact for residents from their survey through to the finalising of their design. You will explain what has been found and what is being proposed, and why, in plain language, and answer questions about the work, what it will involve and how it will affect their home. You will pass resident feedback and any requested changes to the colleagues responsible for the design promptly, and keep residents informed of progress.

Securing design sign-off

You are targeted on getting residents to sign off their design so that work can move to installation. You will present the design clearly, work through concerns and objections honestly and helpfully, follow up promptly with residents who have not yet decided, and make sure every sign-off is recorded correctly and on time in our systems. Sign-off must always be an informed decision that the resident is free to make.

You will not pressure residents or make claims about performance or savings that we cannot support, and you will raise with your line manager any resident who appears to be struggling to understand the proposal or is uncomfortable proceeding.

Compliance documentation

You are responsible for making sure that all the compliance documents required for the sale are completed correctly, signed where required, and stored in our systems before the job moves to installation. The documents required vary by product and by scheme. You will explain to residents what each document is and why it is needed, so that they understand what they are signing rather than simply being asked to sign it.

If a document cannot be completed properly, or a requirement has not been met, you will not proceed and will raise it with your line manager. A sale is not complete until its compliance documents are.

Customer service before installation

You will look after residents throughout the period before their installation. That means answering questions, keeping them informed about what happens next, dealing with changes courteously, and resolving problems where you can. Complaints, and any concern about a resident’s vulnerability or personal circumstances, should be handled with care and escalated to your line manager in line with company procedures.

Administration, records and team support

You will keep resident records in our CRM complete, accurate and up to date, recording sign offs, conversations and next steps as they happen. You will handle residents’ personal information in line with LMF’s Data Protection Policy, including any sensitive information they share with you, and report any suspected data incident promptly. Where a resident’s work is grant-funded, you will follow the additional steps that the scheme requires.

You may also be asked to help with general administration and with survey booking, for example to cover busy periods or absence, when your line manager requests it.
