Solar PV Installation Teams – Labour Only

Due to continued growth and new contract awards, LMF Energy Services Ltd is looking to expand our network of experienced Solar PV installation teams to support high-volume domestic and social housing programmes across the UK.

We are looking for complete installation teams capable of delivering the full Solar PV installation, including both the roofing and electrical elements of the works.

This is a labour-only opportunity. LMF will provide the Solar PV equipment and installation materials, allowing our installation partners to concentrate on delivering safe, compliant and high-quality installations.

We have ongoing programmes and are particularly interested in establishing long-term relationships with reliable teams capable of delivering consistent weekly volumes.

Scope of Works

Installation teams will be responsible for the complete installation of domestic Solar PV systems, including:

• Installation of mounting systems and roof fixings
• Installation and securing of PV modules
• DC cabling and associated containment
• Inverter installation
• AC electrical works and connection
• Installation of isolators and associated electrical equipment
• Consumer unit works where required
• Testing and commissioning of the complete system
• Labelling and certification
• Completion of required installation paperwork
• Comprehensive photographic evidence
• Snagging and rectification of installation-related defects
• Maintaining excellent workmanship within occupied residential properties

The team must be capable of completing the installation from start to finish without requiring LMF to provide separate electrical labour.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for established teams with demonstrable experience delivering domestic Solar PV installations at volume.

Teams must have appropriately qualified and competent personnel covering both the roofing and electrical elements of the installation, together with:

• Proven domestic Solar PV installation experience
• Qualified electrician within the team
• Relevant Solar PV qualifications
• Current electrical qualifications and competency appropriate to the works
• Good knowledge of BS 7671 and MCS installation requirements
• Experience with testing, commissioning and electrical certification
• Working at Height training
• Appropriate Health & Safety training
• Own tools and suitable transport
• Appropriate Public Liability insurance
• Ability to work from provided designs
• Ability to complete photographic and installation evidence accurately
• Professional approach when working in occupied homes

Experience with SolarEdge systems, battery storage, social housing, Housing Association/Local Authority programmes and high-volume retrofit delivery would be particularly advantageous.

Labour-Only Model

LMF supplies the system and installation materials.

The subcontract installation team provides:

Complete installation labour
Roofing installation

Qualified electrical installation
Testing & commissioning
Electrical certification
Tools and equipment
Transport

Installation evidence and photographs
Completion of installation-related snagging

Rates will be agreed based on system type and scope of works.
