What Is ECO4?

ECO4 is a government-backed scheme that helps households improve energy efficiency through:

How ECO4 applies to landlords

As a landlord, you can’t apply directly unless you live in the property, but your tenant can. Once their eligibility is confirmed, we’ll work with you to complete the upgrade with your consent.

 We’ll handle the paperwork and install process. You just need to approve the work and allow access. 

What's required from you

To carry out an ECO4-funded upgrade in a rental property, we’ll need:

  • Proof that you own the property
  • Your written consent to carry out the works
  • Access to the property for the survey and installation
  • EPC rating of E, F or G (D-rated homes may qualify for some solid wall insulation)

We’ll keep you informed throughout and provide full documentation after installation.
